According to the American Heart Association, nearly 88 percent of cardiac arrests occur in the home or away from a hospital or physician’s office. It is critical for communities to have access to proper training so individuals do not feel helpless in the event of an emergency. Average completion time for the online portion Part 1 is hours with a minute skill test required. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate which allows them entrance to a hands-on skills practice and testing session Parts 2 and 3 , which must be completed with an AHA BLS Instructor within 60 days of completing the online portion. We suggest you schedule Parts 2 and 3 within 30 days of completing Part 1 to give yourself enough time.
Community Training Center
This class series covers cardiac risk factors, congestive heart failure, education, and how to stay healthy through blood pressure management, stress management, and exercise. Notes: You may opt to take only those classes which interest you or the entire series. Designed for new and renewing CPR students, this class reviews CPR procedures as well as other basic first aid situations, pediatric emergencies, and the system.

This class is recommended for anyone living with or caring for infants and children. It provides an overview of child and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation CPR techniques and choking. Participants will learn about burns, falls, poisoning, car seats and other safety information. In an effort to be more environmentally conscious, all handouts are available electronically and will be sent to you via email following your class, along with a link for a brief survey about the class.

This class covers what to do in emergencies. This class is not limited to new parents, it also makes a great safety course for Grandparents and other family members who may be caring for your precious new one.
Currently this class is offered via live webinar and takes about 2 hours. We highly recommend you have a doll or stuffed animal to practice on during the class! As soon as we can safely bring back in person classes, this class will be a priority as it is difficult to feel confident without the practice time on the mannequins.

The Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers CPR Course is designed to train participants to save lives of victims in cardiac arrest through high quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation CPR both in-and out-of-hospital settings. This course is intended for all persons who provide health care to patients in a wide variety of settings, including in- and out-of hospital settings. The BLS renewal course is for experienced BLS providers that are able to independently demonstrate the proper knowledge and skills required by the American Heart Association.
This is a fast paced class and will require the participants to read the BLS Manual prior to class.
